Shooting in the rain

Today the weather forecast was for showers (1-5mm), possible hail and thunderstorms in the afternoon.  I was hoping to get some shots of rain clouds coming over so I set out with Kim to see what shots we could get.

After the above shot the clouds were starting to look grey so we quickly headed for the poppet head in Rosalind Park to try get up hight for a rain cloud shot but the clouds got there first and it started raining as soon as we got there and so we had to take cover as our equipment is not weather sealed.

Just before knock of time at 5 I looked out the window and seen a rainbow so out came the camera again.

Couldn't get whole rainbow in frame with one shot so two where needed, stitched together with Photoshop Elements.

Just 1 minute after the above shot and the rainbow has almost completely gone.
