On the weekend I noticed a new mud nest at my front door, shortly after noticing this the owner dropped by with some additional ingredients for the next and proceeded to add on some extensions. It's fascinating watching the wasp turn the ball of mud that it got from who knows where into part of the nest, I watched it add two more parts to the next that are in the images below, but I had to remove it from my front door, so when the wasp headed out for some more mud I scraped the nest off with a stick. The last shot shows the wasp with the new mud ball but no more nest.
